Hi! I'm Albert - a Filipino nature photographer with a passion for the beautiful avian wildlife of the Philippines. I started my photography journey back in 2020, with my camera phone recording videos of the birds I would see on my fishing trips to share with family and friends. Through social media, I was exposed to the different birdwatching and photography clubs, until finally taking the plunge myself and investing on a proper bird photography camera.
As I gained more experience, my photos on Facebook started to gain traction. In 2023, I started selling Desk Calendars and Canvas Prints of my photos. In 2024, I was featured on several TV documentaries about the birds of the Philippines - Aha!, Born To Be Wild and i-Witness. My photos are also featured on Wikipedia articles on Philippine Birds. I was also invited by several local photography clubs to judge photo competitions and conduct talks, sharing my knowledge about nature photography and my love for wildlife in general. I also got an opportunity to write about Philippine Birds for Manila Bulletin through their magazine Animal Scene, one of the biggest publications in the country, featuring my photos and other local photographers, which I still do to this day.
For me photography is more than an expression of oneself, it is a call for conservation. Through my images, I hope that more people will appreciate the spectacular wildlife we have in the Philippines and start becoming champions of the environment themselves.
Today, I have the privilege to travel the country, from the lowland forests and mudflats of Luzon to the remote mountains of Mindanao uncovering the secret natural beauty of the Philippines, through my images and the stories they tell.
